Forward Thinking is operated by Jet Black Holding Group LLC("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for personal data we collect about you through the Service.

  • Profile data — display name, future-self persona, preferences.
  • Content — journal entries, goals, reflections you create.
  • Support messages — content of communications with us.
  • Usage and telemetry — device, browser, IP address, pages visited, errors encountered.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and operate your account (legal basis: contract performance).
  • To provide journaling, AI reflection and goal features (contract performance).
  • To prevent fraud and secure the Service (legitimate interests).
  • To improve the product (legitimate interests).
  • To provide customer support (contract performance).
  • To send essential service communications (contract performance) and, where you opt in, marketing (consent).

4. Who we share data with

  • Service providers (sub-processors) for hosting, database, analytics and AI inference.
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sale of the product, subscription management, payments, tax compliance and invoicing.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations and to resolve disputes. When data is no longer needed it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data; to withdraw consent; to data portability; and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. UK / EEA users have these rights under GDPR and we will respond within one month.

7. International transfers

Where data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, access controls and audit logging — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
